First off, he's doing this most likely because he wants you to notice him. Second, he's touching you, which is another big sign. Lastly, his friends stare after you two spoke because he tells them about you. Based on the signs he probably likes you and can't take his mind off you. If you also have feelings for him, go for it.

Because I had stopped paying attention to him I caught his attention.
