No, some vampires may hate the fact that they are a vampire and choose not to drink blood until they grow far to weak to continued without it, but as for those vampires they may give the person the choice to become a vampire or not, instead of choosing to kill the person when draining their blood.

There is no evidence to support the supposition that Vampires exist. However even if they do, it is not advised to go on a Vampire Hunt unless you are a professional, but items that are essential in hunting Vampires at least from the mythos are: 1. Garlic: In most appearances Vampires are weakened by Garlic if not out right deathly allergic to it. 2. Wooden Stake: In most appearances a wooden stake through the heart is the only sure fire way to finish off a Vampire 3. Crucifix: In most appearances Crucifixes weaken Vampires considerable 4. Holy Water: Blessed by a Priest it tends to burn the flesh of Vampires. This is a good benchmark to test if something really is a Vampire, because Holy Water generally has no affect on individuals 5. Eucharist: Same as the aforementioned Holy Water 6. Silver: In some appearances Silver is deadly to Vampires, in others it has little or no effect on them at all. 7. Fire: Many Vampires are afraid of fire and are weak to it.
