The Torah is the Five Books of Moses: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. At a synagogue or temple, the Torah scroll is housed in an Ark (a wooden closed designed for the purpose) and has a cloth cover that is placed over the top handles of the scroll and protects the parchment scroll. Over the cover, a yad, a pointer for keeping one's place and following the words while reading the Torah. The yad is important because the natural oils on hands would damage the Torah, so the pointer is used instead of fingers.
The Torah (which Jews call the Written Torah, in contrast to the Talmud, which is the Oral Torah) consists of the Five Books of Moses. They are: Bereshit (Genesis), Shemot (Exodus), Vayikra (Leviticus), Bamidbar (Numbers), and Devarim (Deuteronomy).
The rest of the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible) includes:
A) The Nevi'im (The Prophets): Yehoshua (Joshua), Shoftim (Judges), Shmuel (I &II Samuel), Melakhim (I & II Kings), Yeshayah (Isaiah), Yirmiyah (Jeremiah), Yechezkel (Ezekiel), and The Twelve (which are treated as one book): Hoshea (Hosea), Yoel (Joel), Amos, Ovadyah (Obadiah), Yonah (Jonah), Mikhah (Micah), Nachum, Chavakkuk (Habbakkuk), Tzefanyah (Zephaniah), Chaggai, Zekharyah (Zechariah), and Malakhi.
B) The Writings. These include: Tehillim (Psalms), Mishlei (Proverbs), Iyov (Job), Shir Ha-Shirim (Song of Songs), Ruth, Eikhah (Lamentations), Kohelet (Ecclesiastes), Esther, Daniel, Ezra & Nechemyah (Nehemiah) (which are treated as one book); and Divrei Ha-Yamim (Chronicles).

The word Tanach is an acronym made up of the names of its three sections: Torah (Teachings), Nevi'im (Prophets), K'tuvim (Writings). The Torah is made up of: Bereishit (Genesis), Shemot (Exodus), Vayikra (Leviticus), Bamidbar (Numbers), and Devarim (Deuteronomy).
The Gemara is the commentary of the Torah-sages on the Oral Torah. Together, the Oral Torah (Mishna) and the Gemara make up the Talmud.
