there are newtonian fluids and non newtonian fluids both of these belongs to real fluid which posses viscosity .newtonian fluids r those fluids which obey the newtons law of viscosity while the later doesnt.there r various types of non newtonian fluids like simple non newtonian fluid ,real plastic fluid and ideal plastic fluid an ideal plastic fluid has shear stress which is more than the yield value but after that it obeys the newtonian law of viscosity.
Remove the diff cover.
they are diff because i don't know !! hehe tricked ya
yes the tranny oil and diff oil are seperate, typically there is a drain plug and a fill plug located on the diff usually a 3/4" combo wrench will do the trick
if it has a pose. diff full synthec gear oil 75w190 a reglar diff i would still put the synthac it is better. but you can put reglar gear oil. to find out if it has pos. call the deler with your vin#
Drain all the fluids in the bike, and you might have to drain motor oil and diff oil more then once.
pretty dependable, are you getting check engine light ? any symptoms ,hard shifting, noises, low tranny fluid, very low 4wd diff. fluid? need more info.
Place a drain pan under the differential. Loosen the bolts, but don't take the diff cover completely off. Let the fluid drain into the drain pan. When it stops draining, take the diff cover off. Siphon out the remaining fluid from the bottom of the diff. Scrape off the remaining gasket. Place the new gasket on, with some RTV. Put the diff cover back on and tighten it. Remove the fill plug. Fill to the bottom of the fill plug. Replace the fill plug.

80w90...with a diff additive for the rear

Absolutely. If a vehicle shares fluid between the transfer case and rear diff, the flow will be interrupted if the transfer case goes bad. A fluid pump failure would cause the flow of oil to be cut to both components thus causing a failure. Also, if there is not adequate vacum pressure for the pump system to work, oil cannot be pumped to the rear of the car causing a diff failure.
