Yes HND, also known as Higher National Diploma is a Higher level than BTEC National Diploma, I know this because i am currently studying the BTEC National Diploma course.But Having experience in BTEC National Diploma will give you a better background and give you better knowledge of the HND Course, it will also look good to an Employer :)Hope this helped!
i am on a BTEC National Diploma Course in fish husbandary at brooksby college, and i was woundering if i could be eligable for a student loan? The way I believe it works is whether the diploma is classed as further education or higher education. I did a BTEC National Diploma in Foundation Studies (art and design) and this was further education. Only higher education students qualify for a loan.
A BTEC National Diploma is equivalent to 3 full 'A' levels, and is a well established qualification respected by Universities and Colleges of Art.
