The homesteader's women had a hard life on the Prairie spending much of it alone. The men of the household were usually out farming most of the day so women were left to cook and clean. The cleaning was almost impossible as the sod houses attracted bugs and insects. The dust easily built up and while cooking; mud from the roof could drip into food and cause illnesses. This meant that children could get sick often and they would have to nurse the children with their own remedies as there was usually no doctor for miles. Lack of doctors and the men were out all day lead to child birth alone. When children were born she would have to make clothes for them and when clothes were ripped she would have to mend them. The life of a women homesteader usually involved a lot of walking as she could have to walk quite away to get water or collect dried cow dung for fuel. On days were there was much work to be done on the land the women had to help out too. They also had the job of killing snakes and keeping cattle away from crops. Unfortunately for some of the women there was no one else for miles and they were sometimes driven mad by the loud howling of the Prairie winds.
Sorry that the answer is so long it's what I wrote in answer to a history question
The Homesteaders.
b= They were excluded from most jobs.
The biggest difficulty minorities and women faced in the workforce during World War 2 was being thrust into unfamiliar jobs
There is often a "glass ceiling" in the workforce that stops women from gaining the same jobs and or salary as male employees. They are consistently paid less (particularly women of color), are passed over for promotions, and face daily soft sexism.
Again, as you may know, women weren't entitled to many jobs or services back in the day. Up until a decade or two ago, women couldn't serve. In WW2, American women spies were a bit more entitled than their German counterparts. In Germany, women were made to be in the kitchen. Americans harnessed that surprise factor.

Which women are you talking about? French women? American Indian women? Metis women? English women that were taken captive by American Indians who sided with the French? Lakota women taken captive and made slaves by the French? This is why I do not like wikipedia. for France Perkins appointment to the cabinet have on the lives of American women its: women continued to face discrimination in the workplace from male workers who believed that working women took jobs away from men... the poll said that wife shouldn't work if their husbands had a job
since these women had little or no education, they got jobs that were difficult, demanding, and dangerous
Women in American society from 1900 to 1930 were housekeepers until the Great Depression. Women had to do sewing and laundry for others in 1929 and 1930 just to put food on the table after their husbands lost their jobs. They also had to work day labor jobs.
Women usually have to do the jobs left behind by the men that were fighting. This means that many women might do more construction work or manufacturing.
