There is a one-way valve in the fuel line that only allows fuel to flow toward the engine and away from the tank.
The bowls of the carb are filled from the top. In the case of fuel injection, the fuel pump is in the tank and pushes fuel when you turn the key.
it could be that the fuel isn't coming up due to it all draining back to the tank and if you are trying to start it with the 5 year old fuel in it then the fuel could be dead so try draining it and put fresh in,and if the fuel side of it is ok then check for spark.
depend on year model. remove fuel tank cover if equipped. disconnect fuel filler neck hoses (2) remove fuel lines, feed, return and evap. remove fuel tank straps and remove fuel tank. recommend draining fuel tank before removal
Hi, If you are referring to the fuel level sensor, it is located in the fuel tank and is mounted on the fuel pump assembly. Draining and dropping the fuel tank is needed to replace this sensor. Good Luck, Greg
The fuel tank is just the tank itself. With the fuel pump built into the tank. Remove the tank by draining as much gas as you can out first via siphon. Support tank and remove the retaining strap bolts. Carefully lower and remove the wiring and fuel lines.
yes, it is inside the tank. The nice thing is, you can access it (at least in the '92-'95 models) by removing the back seat. There's an access panel for the pump, wiring and fuel level sender right there. No draining the tank, no messy gas spills.
The Pump Is Located In The Tank. Fuel Keeps It Cool.
the back seat must be removed then you will find a round access panel this leads directly to the fuel tank which is where the fuel pump and filter should be, by accessing the components this way it keeps from damaging wiring when you drop the tank.
in the fuel tank under the back seat on the left side
/// holes in vent/filler tube allowing moisture in that freezes in cold weather not allowing you to fill tank. it keeps spitting back out.
It is a means for fuel storage. Simply put it keeps fuel clean and contained to be used in the future.
Fuel filter is in tank. To change it requires draining and removing tank. I took mine to shop, as I don't like messing with gas.
