I did quite a bit of GOOGLING on this one, just because I don't want to give you a bum steer.
I'm a believer that, at least in GM cars, it makes no difference which fluid you use. I've use the cheapo stuff and I've used the expensive stuff with the same results.
My Haynes manual offers no enlightenment. It just says to use the "specified" type. I guess there might be something in your owner's manual, if you have it, or the cap to the reservoir may have something imprinted on it.
Many sites I visited talked about brake fluid and ATF being interchangeable. There were arguments pro and con on this. I wouldn't use brake fluid.
For what it's worth, I had a PS leak on my '96. I tried all the brand name fluids that offered a stop leak feature. Nothing really stopped the leak, so I started using the cheapest fluid I could use until I could address the problem. One day I happened to be in my local Albertson's grocery store. I remembered that I needed to buy fluid. I stumbled on some Gold Eagle No Leak.

By gosh, it worked damned well! I went through two at quite long intervals. This was a year and a half ago and I have no further leak. I wouldn't use anything but Gold Eagle any more. When STP and AMSOIL and all the big guy's stuff didn't work, Gold Eagle did. It's not expensive and is available all over the place. It claims to be compatible with all Power Steering fluids. I hope you'll check it out.
