My teddy bear hamster Cookie eats "living world" hamster mix witch contains donut treats, pellets, and a big variety of yummy seeds witch he loves!
No, they should stick to a normal, healthy, hamster diet.
Yes but not to many.
Yes...this should be an OK diet for your hamster. Do not treat the celery like an every day diet though. I am not sure this will be good for your hamster. So do not feed him/ her celery every single day of her hamster life.
First: there is no such thing as a FANCY BEAR hamster, FANCY is added to the hamsters name by breeders, but they are no more FANCY than any other SYRIAN hamster! SYRIAN is their real name (teddy fancy honey and there's a lot of other names) As for size? Females (after pregnancy can get to the size of baked potatoes) and prior? Little larger than a mango Males same It really depends on the hamster Some get larger than others and it really depends on how active they are (some are more active some never use a wheel by choice) and diet (what u feed it and how much it eats)
pretty much
The life span of any living creator will be dependent on a good and appropriate diet particular to the species. Your local pet store should be able to give you the best diet for your hamster. I would also recommend you pick up a book on how to care for your hamster. The pet store should have these books in stock.
Whatever it was on at the pet store. Make sure you give them something to chew on and treats. If you don't won't to buy treats you can feed them carrots, romain lettuce (don't feed them any other kind), and mine eats timothy hay. But only give it one or two things every other day!
Only if you feed it a lot of food or give it too many unhealthy treats. They are not supposed to be fat. Hamsters should have a balanced diet and be happy. Also the hamster might be pregnant.
Dark leafy veggies can cause intestinal upset.Following are veggies they can eat.Hamsters and VegetablesVegetables are something that hamsters should have in extremely limited quantities. Giving a hamster too much of any vegetable can give them severe diarrhea and they can dehydrate and die unusually quickly. Fruits and vegetables that hamsters can have in moderation are seedless apple, banana, cabbage, carrots, lettuce, celery, corn-on-the-cob, kale, mango, parsley, peas, cooked potato, soybean and sweet potato. Carrots should be given in moderation as the keratin can change the color of the hamster's coat. Cabbage and lettuce can be unsuitable for a hamster's liver if given too frequently The majority of these vegetables are in dry commercial hamster foods and with a reputable commercial food diet they can be given the fresh variety as an occasional treat.See the related link for further information.
No. Hamsters have a different diet than rats. You can just find a simple hamster mix, and fruits and veggies every once in awhile and that is basically hamster diet. Rats have a completely different diet. So please do not exchange their diets. Hope this helped!
A hamster loves to get a treat like a piece of apple, carrot, or lettuce but it should be given as a treat and not a regular diet. If a hamster is given too much fresh veggies or fruits, it will get diarrhea become dehydrated and die. Also, a hamster really enjoys small beetles or crickets, but as above, not too much. A regular diet of alfalfa pellets or hamster mix is best.
Well one day after school we went to Manhatten Bagel and got some bagels and PLAIN cream cheese. When I got home I took my Teddy Bear hamster out to play with him. He seemed distracted and kept smelling the air. I let him go and walked to my bagel and started licking the cream cheese off. I don't give a lot to him but when I do I only give him a small amount. DO NOT GIVE YOUR HAMSTER A TABLE SPOON IT WILL CAUSE HEALTH PROBLEMS.
