To put it simply, squats. You see, your buttock muscles are called the Gleuteus Maximus. There are a number of excercises that can enhance the shape of your butt, but only squats, with a relatively heay weight will make the muscle increase in size, thus enlarging your butt. The Gleutes are relatively large muscles, so you need relatively heavy weight for them to grow in size.
To achieve the butt you desire, you must give it your full attention. After all, your big booty will be getting all the attention soon. If you are not born with a big butt, there are still things you can do to get that big booty.
Leg exercises including squats, lying leg press, standing leg curl, and reverse leg press will all target the glutes as well as other muscles in the legs. The easy answer is, neither bigger or smaller. Your butt is just sitting there. Think of aerobic exercise as a whole body exercise. However, it will get smaller if you are starting with a more than average fat supply. And, if your intensity and mileage is high enough, you will be building muscle in your legs, and butt area, but most people will not experience a bigger butt.
Exercise can help build the muscle in your butt, but you need to remember things like squats and lunges will not help you make your butt bigger.
