termites...they taste like raw eggs
they also eat fish and things that have brought home from hunting trips
The Baka eat all different things like berries, nuts, fish, termites (which taste like raw eggs) and honey. The men are usually the ones to go hunting for the food. Some of the plants they eat are poisonous. If they are poisonous, they drain them out in the fast paced river and the fish die from the poison and come to the surface. That's double lucky! The tribe people celebrate the great amount of food they have in stock. Sometimes they will spend the whole day searching for honey, when they find a bee's nest, someone will go up and smoke the bee's to confuse them and grab the honey! This is very risky and you could die from this. Honey is the only sweet thing you can find in the rainforest, so the men have to go up to get all the honey they can find.
