With its wide range of climatic conditions Canada grows grains (oats, wheat, barley, canola, soybeans etc.), vegetables (tomatoes, cabbage, carrots, soya beans, sugar beets etc.), various livestock (beef, lamb, chicken, turkey, lama, emu, farmed fish etc.) and on the pharmaceutical end - marijuana. It also harvests wild fish and game and trees for lumber and pulp and paper.

Is sheep a food? I jest, besides Canada grows them as well. Wales has a temperate climate and so does parts of Canada. I think anything Canada can grow the Welsh could grow as well, though maybe not some of the fruits. Can they grow peaches in Wales? We do in Canada.
Canada grows enough fresh food to supply our own population, and we also export food to other countries, especially the USA. Canada is a world supplier of wheat, barley, canola oil, apples, and beef. About 80 percent of the world's supply of maple syrup comes from Canada. We also export fresh and frozen fish products, and farm raised salmon and trout.
The Canadian flag has a maple leaf on it because there are lots of maple trees in Canada and that tree is where they get sap to make maple syrup. It is also for symbolism because the maple leaf is a Canadian symbol.
Canada grows sugar beets

Why should it not be?Egypt grows some types of agricultural produce that Canada cannot grow. Canada produces technology that Egypt cannot yet match.
