I would suggest using Techron if you want something to put in the tank once in a while. (not more than once a year or 15000 miles whichever is less)
If you think you have a dirty injector or carbonized intake valve, go for a Motorvac CarbonClean treatment with Motorvac detergent. It works.
Most likely a fuel leak or sticking injector. Try injector cleaner first to see if it helps. It probably won't but it's worth a try.
Depends on where you buy it, but it should be aprox $65 for one injector. If you are replacing all 6, multiply $65 by 6.
the iat sensor is located on the tube running from the air cleaner the sensor has a wire connector running to it
If a non hotwire sensor buy a can of CRC MAF cleaner and follow directions.
no !
where is the #5 injector? how long does it take to fix
have u changed the fuel filter lately? either that or check presure from fuel pump if it is injected, run some injector cleaner thru it
Under the intake manifold. Or should I say part of it. be very careful taking the unit apart .
There is no such part.
You go to the auto supply place, open car door, step out, walk inside the store, purchase a bottle of Fuel Injector Cleaner, go to your car's gas tank, take off the caps, pour in cleaner, replace gas cap. throw empty cleaner bottle in the trash, get in car and drive.
It should get aprox 17 to 19 mpg, highway. I am getting 14 miles to the gallon.
It's fuel injected and has no carburetor. Use a quality fuel injector cleaner such as Seafoam or Techron poured into the fuel tank every 6 months to keep the injectors clean.
