get a oil pressure gauge from the auto store and install it under your dash or where ever you find a place to install it and read the directions on how to install it.
no power at the sending unit.
its on the drivers side of the motor at the front of the motor above the transmission.
what about it?
chec the plug in on your sending unit on your gas tank
No
There are 2 and they are located on the intake manifold near the thermostat. The 1 with the single wire is for the gauge. The 2 wire is for the cooling fans and the computor. jd
Try looking on the side of the left head it should be a one wire sendor, ground that wire to the block if the temp gauge maxs out that means the temp gauge is good.
Sounds like the sending unit in the tank is stuck. It works kind of like the float in your toilet. There is a piece that floats on the top of the fuel and it is attached to a rod that goes to your sending unit. The higher the float, the more gas is shown on the gauge due to the position signal the sending unit is sending out to the fuel gauge. If it is stuck, it probably is best to have it replaced.
I have a 1996 Monte Carlo Z34, and I've noticed that the fuel gauge reading will bounce around whenever the car is tipped up or down as the fuel sloshes around in the gas tank.
i dont speak car!
Yes it can depending on driving conditions.
If you are referring to the fuel sending unit that works the gauge then you will have to drop the gas tank. In any case you need to buy a Haynes Manual and it will give you the full details.jd
