However, chocolate milk has added sugar, so just like soda pop and many other beverages, that added sugar *can* lead to obesity. Obesity, in turn, puts you at higher risk for Type 2 Diabetes, Heart disease, and cancer.
... But this definitely does NOT mean that chocolate milk causes cancer, or any of those other things. People just are linking it to those things because it has more sugar in it than regular milk. You have the same risks from drinking Sprite, eating life savers, or having pumpkin pie. We all have to learn how to balance what we eat and make healthy choices.
