My old boss is a finish carpenter in Colorado (don't know how much that affects the payscale) and he makes $45/hr (hourly rate) and gets profit sharing.... no college education. He is 42 and has been in construction for 17 years, but averages more than $50/hr with his profit sharing.
They make about $25 and up for a half hour and about $50 and up for an hour
Massage therapists often set their own pricing for their services. People will pay up to $100 an hour for a massage.
It depends on where you live. The college responsible for governing massage therapists in your province/state (CMTO in Ontario) has set guidelines for fees. example? Toronto - 80$ an hour Barrie - 65$ an hour
They make around $32.60 an hour. Massage therapists work long hours on their feet and it is an extremely physically demanding job. They make more at times from tips.
Canine massage therapists typically make $50 to $120 per hour for their services. On average this can equal anywhere from $65,000 to $150,000 per year.
Massage therapists prefer the term therapist. The term 'masseuse' is an older term that is not generally used anymore. A masseuse is a female that performs massage, but has gone through an apprenticeship. Massage therapists go to a school and take at least 500 hours of education (in most states in the US). Also, prices used to vary considerably across the country, but the trend seems to be more of consistency. The average price is around $60/hour. But that price can vary from $30 - $ 90, or higher, depending on where you live and what the massage therapists in your area are charging.
Therapists can earn anywhere from 20-80 thousand dollars a year. Therapists that earn the most money are usually therapists who also work actively as researchers and are proactive in learning about their profession.
As a Massage Envy therapist, I disagree. I keep detail records on what I make. Doing an avg of 30 hours per week, include the tips, I make more the $33 per hour, $17 per hour of massage and avg of $16.74 per massage. At 52 weeks, that is $51,480. Considering at Massage Envy, I don't need to do the marketing or pay rent/utilities, $51K is great. I don't know about the previous response, but as a dedicated employee, you can go far in this company and yet still have time to be a dad like me. not much i heard 12 15 and 17 correct, they will tell you their therapists average $28 per massage, but truth is--around $17 hr., and because the customers are paying $39 for an hour, tips were not so fabulous......do not recommend working there. I've been a therapist for 11 years.
I have a friend who is a licensed massage therapist and he gets 40 dollars per hour. He has his own business cards that he hands out and sometimes he works for salons.
As of May 2012, The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics states that rehabilitation therapists that work with horses, earn an annual salary between $62,000 and $86,380. Individuals that work directly with a veterinarians office earn between $80,000 and $95,000 annually.
like 17 dollars an hour its good moiney (ed. actually it varies depending on education and experience. A good, simple, relaxation massage can generate about 25.00 an hour. specialization such as "Reiki", "Rolfing", or Rehabilitative massage can bring in anywhere from 40.00 to 70.00 an hour. As in all fields the income is proportional to the education and skill.)
Giving massage can be physically demanding; a good school will teach proper body mechanics so that the weight of the body is used to 'power' the strokes. Even so, detailed work like neuromuscular or trigger point therapy is hard on the thumbs. Stretches have to be done by all massage therapists to keep from getting carpal tunnel syndrome or thorassic outlet syndrome.
