Well if you need to hire a lawyer then you obviously want to hire a good one. So choosing the good one compared to the not so good one makes sense. If it's your first time hiring a lawyer your going to go for the first one you come across that you feel comfortable with hiring. Or if you've used the same lawyer a few times they have obviously done good work for you before

I would think not, why not take this to your legal adviser (lawyer or attorney) and see if you have grounds to sue.
