I don't know if the manufacturer requires has a specific type of oil, but small engines (like Hyundai, Nissan, Toyota, Honda, and small American cars have) usually recommend 10w30. This is a commonly available variety of oil, sold in many brands, and should be suitable for year-round use in most places in the USA. HYUNDAI recommends 5w40, but its depends on region. I think 5w40 will be good choice. And it is doesn't matter how big car is.
