I'm pretty positive you continue using 10w 30 that's what I use and what they put into my car when I get oil changes

On my VWs I change the OHC belt at 80K miles and retension every 15K miles on the older units. VW generally recommends 100K miles. On my VWs I change the OHC belt at 80K miles and retension every 15K miles on the older units. VW generally recommends 100K miles.

The 2.5s have timing chains. Chains are much longer lasting and do NOT need to be replaced at 60-100k miles like a rubber belt would.

If you have 100k miles or more you should do it. 100k miles is usually a good mileage to do it on any car. For specifics you should call the dealership.
