Pasta was introduced to China by explorer Marco Polo in around 1279 AD. Polo also made the mistake of claiming that Chinese noodles were a form of pasta themselves - which is wrong. Chinese noodles are not a form of pasta. Maybe that is what you are basing your question on, which is an incorrect statement.
