I personally would say that finger print readers are very reliable. They are nearly full-proof, and are fast and secure.I would have some kind of backup though just in case something does go wrong. Maybe a password?

Broke. There are interface connectors/ports, fan ports, and slots, for add on cards. All motherboard ports. If there is a hole with out some kind of port,it is not for anything.
Everyone has their own unique DNA fingerprint. DNA is mixed with some kind of chemical (I'm afraid I don't know the specifics) which creates a unique image that slightly resembles a barcode.
Skin or scales
As long as any kind of cellular specimen can be recovered DNA can be traced.
