I don't know how many watts the stock system puts out, but you should have two tweeters in the dash (not sure what size stock are, but 1" fits), two 6 1/2" drivers in the front doors (not coaxial dual cones), and two 6x9's in the rear deck (below your rear window). Changing them out is not difficult, but I'd recommend buying a Chilton's manual in order to learn how to disassemble the dash, get the front door trim panel off, and pull out the rear deck cover...plus it's a good resource to have for other projects. If you're just looking for stock replacement speakers just call your local Dodge dealership, if not then there are many resources for getting aftermarket speakers. www.crutchfield.com has a lot of stuff and you can even search their inventory according to what fits your make/model of vehicle. there are NO speakers in the "rear" doors of a Neon.
The front door speakers on second generation Neons (2000 and up) are 6.75". These are sometimes called "oversize 6.5"" speakers.

No it will not the 2000 neon was a totally new design for the body and it won't line up correctly you need a bodykit for a 2000-2003 neon to fit best.
