Yorkies are small dogs that should be fed multiple small meals during the course of the day to keep their blood sugar steady. A yorkie should eat 1 cup of high quality dog kibble spread out into 4 meals of 1/4 each. That varies My Yorkie eats a lot but other Yorkies only eat a small portion of food.
most types of dogs shouldn't eat cheese. it dulls their sense of smell. they CAN eat it but it makes they're sense of smell weaker.
Yorkies do need special food for there coat and health and nutrition. Eukanuba dog food is good for their coat but it also makes it a bit greasy at times. Royal Canin is good for nutrition, teeth care and digestive system but it makes the coat very dry. I believe science diet is good also but I have not personally tried it yet. Giving them dry food helps their health but they can also eat some table food too. Peas, green string beans, carrots, apples (not seeds), rice, skinless chicken, beef, watermelon, squash, sardines (in water), salmon and lettuce.
