A frothy texture.
Pumice is a volcanic rock that is so full of gas bubbles that is it very light, and rough surfaced.
Two kinds of rocks that have a pyroclastic texture are breccia and tuffs. Some other rocks with this texture are volcanic ash and pumice.

Could be pumice or scoria.
Scoria has thicker vesicle walls than pumice does. This means it has a lower proportion of open space in it, making it less dense than water.
Vesicular igneous rocks cool quickly from magma, resulting in pockets of trapped gas or gas bubble imprints that make it appear porous. Pumice and scoria are examples of igneous rock with vesicles.
It is a light-weight rock with lots of holes in it. It floats. Colour is affected by the minerals inside it.

Pumice is so fine grained, it actually doesn't have a grain--because it is a natural volcanic glass. The rough texture is caused by the vesicular nature of the rock--trapped pockets of gas bubbles with sharp glassy edges.
