You can check the owners manual for the 97 Dodge Dakota to determine if a T56 transmission will work with the car that has a 318 engine. Also, you can take the care to a certified mechanic as well to verify.
Simple answer is NO the t56 is the 6spd transmission and used on v-8 90* engine like the Z-28 from same year. the 5spd is a t5 same as everyone uses mustang ect. the 94 camaro has a v-6 60* engine and the 5speed transmission is tilted to fit in the floor without modifying floor of car i believe the tilt is 17* but I know it is tilted as I own a 5spd 94 camaro and have replaced the clutch already.
Or what 4 speed manual transmissions will fit. Will a M22 bolt to the 350 and fit the car?TransmissionsYou can use the Muncie, Saginaw, or Borg Warner four speed transmission on the 350 engine also it may be possible to mate up the Borg Warner T56 6 speed manual.
