Sounds like some where on the main wiring harness running to the back it is rubbing on the shift linkage. If there is a bare spot on the wire it will ground out when shifting. Just a thought. Check all of the wires that are anywhere near the shifting linkages.

You evidently have something shorted to ground. You did not specify as to which fuse you are blowing. Consequently, iI am unable to help you.
