you just need a basic wire harness which you can buy from Walmart. but you need to run your constant 12v wire to a wire that provides power as soon as the vehicle turns on. i suggest doing it that way. when i ran mine i went right to the battery and later found that it would drain my battery and eventually ruined the battery.
Go to Wal Mart or Autozone and buy the harness adapter kit. Wire the connector to your stereo, and then plug the connector in the factory stereo harness and you are done. you need to buy the wire harness for the car itself then you need to connect it to the stock wire harness, after that, you need to go ahead and strip it and wire it to your new CD players harness and then you will need to screw in and install the new head unit.-Shocker

buy a wire harrnes install kit they will have collored wires that will match the line up of your aftermarket car stereo. and then you don't have to cut any of the factury wires. if you go to sell the car you can put the facutery stereo back in
