* Go to your local gym, ride that bike, then lift weights for your arms, and then run for a bit on the treadmill or stairclimber. * I lost 100 lbs over a 2-year period. I cut back on my sugar/calorie intake and I started running. I started out at half a mile per night, which was exhausting. I slowly increased the distance. By the end of the 2 years, I was running 4.5 miles per day. Running does get boring. I took to running in a park, more enjoyable. Having music helps, something upbeat. Having somebody working out with you is a good idea because they can push you. It's amazing how much you can do after you think you can't do any more. It was tough but really increased my endurance. In addition, if you are going to do cardio and lift weights in the same day, do cardio first then lift second, and stay hydrated. If you are lifting weights, a high protein, low carb diet is best. * Cardio exercise is the best exercise for weight loss. Moreover, there are other forms of cardio exercise apart from running or jogging. Cardio walking to lose weight is excellent because it is easier on your body and sustainable long term. Walking briskly for 30 to 40 minutes a day will help the most, and you are less likely to become injured or overwhelmed with the requirements during the period when you are trying to lose weight. Weight training, Zumba and other activities are also great to add on to the walking several times a week.
