Could you live on Jupiter's moons?
There is one moon that is far enough from rhe radiation to be inhabital but we cant breath there. We can get food and water fron the technology we have using the ice on its moon and we have prototypes of lighter space suits that will enable us to go accross its mountain filled tarrain. So the answer is yes.

Yes, It also keeps it from getting too cold/hot. Without the atmostphere the earth would disentigrate within minutes, due to the atmostphere not deflecting the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun. All life would instantly burn. And the planet would be rendered un-inhabital. But, Let's take venus into effect. It's atmostphere has the "Green House Effect". Which causes the suns rays to stay inside and become trapped between the planet and the atmostphere, thus heating the planet for several hundred degrees hot. F*.
What is the purpose of the world ending?
The only purpose is one of faith. When Christ returns He will take all the faithful. They are given immortal bodies and will remain with Him. That leaves the rest of the world. They will be destroyed hence a new world that has no sin or evil. So in short, it is God's way to cleanse the Earth and make it inhabital for those that are worthy. OR If you are not religious like the person above: It is just how the universe works. Nothing lasts forever and I guess its purpose is so that there is space for something else, something new that could otherwise not have existed if our world or sun had not died. And as an afterthought, if christ and or god is so forgving; why should he murder all those who did not wish to follow their faith, seeing as it his god who apparently gave us free will? Oh and you cannot have a world with only good...it would mean there were no definition for evil hence no definition for good, so it could not exist...paradox much?
