Alexander was king of Macedonia (not Greece) and he conquered the Persian Empire in order to become king of it. The empire stretched from Greece to Egypt and today's Pakistan.
It took him ten years to conquer the Persian Empire and turn it into an empire of his own.

Archimedes did not conquer anything. He was a scientist, not a general or a politician.
