The firsty world war was caused by the blind loyalty of Europeans to their governments and the belief, caused by technologically and militaristicly backwards African tribes, held by each country in Europe that they were superior to everyone and, additionally, invincible. War was seen as a glorious thing at that time period. The catalyst for the first war was the assasination of the archduke Ferdinand and his wife by a Serbian rebel. The entangling 'secret' alliances made by all of the European countries with various other European countries caused the war to spread throughout Europe. The second world war was caused by Britan and France when, in the treaty of Versailles, they crushed Germany and put it into economic depression, famine, and a state of declining education, which, as history has shown, always leads to a dictator, in this case Adolf Hitler. The U.S., Britan, and France's policies of isolation or appeasement, respectively, allowed Hitler to gain a small power base from which he could make an attempt at world domination with extremely high odds of success, given his military and oratory genius, the size of his armies, and the natural advantages of the position he was in. He failed, fortunately.
