Why are onion cells in a sheet and cheek cells individual units?
Due to the techniques of obtaining the samples, onion cells remain intact in the tissue, but because cheek cells are obtained by rubbing a toothpick on your cheek, you are disrupting the cheek tissue, and instead of getting a sheet of cheek cells, you get individual cheek cells.

Why do Viruses have more difficulty entering plant cells than animal cells because?
To understand the answer we have to look at the cell structure of the two different cells. An animal cell contains a nucleus suspended in a clear jellylike liquid called the cytoplasm. All of that is contained with a thin membrane called the plasma membrane. This very thin membrane doesn't add any structural support so animal cells tend to be round. A plant's cells on the other hand, have all of that plus they have a hard sturdy outer membrane called the cell wall. This thick wall is made out of cellulose and keeps the cells in more of a cube shape. Compared to a plasma membrane the cell wall is much more resistant to rupture or invasion. Think of it this way. If you wanted to rob a bank and all that was keeping the door closed was a thin sheet of polyethylene plastic (shopping bag plastic). All you would need to brake in is a sharp knife. However if the bank was guarded by not only the membrane, but a layer of steel. Then it would be much harder to get in. Granted this is a crude example, but nonetheless it proves this point. Thanks to their body armor, plant cells are much more protected and less vulnerable to invasion from viruses and bacteria then animal cells.
