Oz
'Rinkitink in Oz' is the only book by Lyman Frank Baum [May 15, 1856 - May 6, 1919] on Oz that may be considered a military history. It's the tenth of Baum's fourteen books on the Royal Histories of Oz. It deals with an international war that pits the island of Pingaree in the Nonestic Ocean against two others, Regos and Coregos. The Nonestic Ocean is to the east of the beautiful, enchanted, magical lands of Oz. Munchkinland, in eastern Oz, borders the Deadly Desert. The Desert borders the land of Ev, which fronts the Nonestic Ocean.
Kansas is the real life place in which 'The Wonderful Wizard of Oz' is set. It's the location of the action in the very first and the very last chapters. In between, the book is set in the imaginary place of the beautiful, enchanted, magical land of Oz.Indefinite is the time in which author and Oz book series originator Lyman Frank Baum [May 15, 1856-May 6, 1919] set his book. But the illustrations show the influence of the time during which Baum wrote his book. Baum wrote the story in Chicago, Illinois, in the closing years of the 19th century.
