if the temperature goes up on ur gauge but it is not overheating means ur thermostat is no good
Make sure vehicle is not overheating Replace temperature sending unit
Depending on the car's size, shape and parts, or its surrounding environment, yes, it is quite normal for the vehicle to experience slight temperature increase. But if the temperature gets worse there may be something wrong with the car, such as the engine overheating.
It could be a bad sending unit, bad guage, or other coling system problem.Start by doing the easy things firstReplace the temp. sending unit, about $4Replace or have theguage rebuilt...you can get a used instrument cluster on eBay for about $30AnswerIs the car actually overheating or is the temperature gauge just off? Does the gauge go all the way up as soon as you start the car or does it slowly climb after the car warms up? Check your thermostat first, fluid level, and water pump. These are about the only things that can make a car overheat.
I presume you mean car water pump? If the water pump is faulty the car will over heat and the temperature gauge will go up. Make sure that there is enough coolant in the radiator, the radiator or the hose pipe is not leaking and the radiator cap is not faulty, as all of these faults can cause overheating. Once you have excluded these then you can blame the water pump.
The most common reason for The Lincoln LS over-heating problem: if it is warmer outside compared to what you have you temperature in your car set at the antifreeze fluids have no where to go so it floods your dagos bottle which in terms have a switch that tells your car it is overheating. you can take it to a mechanic so that if you have your car in the cooling mode they can put another reservoir on the engine to catch the excess antifreeze. it may be expensive but this will fix it.
maybe, but this really sounds like an engine overheating problem. Before you go any further, make sure it isn't overheating.
More then likely, your thermostat is sticking. When this happens, your car tends to overheat. If you turn on you heat, it keeps your car from overheating for a little longer then if you left it off. If you see your car is starting to get hot, turn on your heater, but try to get to wherever you needed to go, or to the nearest trustworthy mechanic.
put the keys in the car and there you go.
Go into bios setup and find the cpu screen that reports the temperature. The temperature should not exceed 38 degrees c. Or 100.4 f.

That happens because the engine is overheating. Normal causes are low coolant, bad thermostat, or inoperative fan.
You would apply force to the accelerator to make the car go faster.
