Stink bugs are bugs that are attracted to food.

Specifically, bugs are insects that have piercing, sucking mouthparts. They employ their mouthparts to remove a plant's life-sustaining, nutrient-rich phloem and xylem sap. Their most well-known examples include aphids, cicadas, leaf- and plant-hoppers, and shield bugs. The stink bug (family Pentatomidae) is a shield bug that aggravates cultivators by removing the juices from berries and fruits.
