The threat to giant pandas is mainly loss of habitat. Wild animals need land that has not been converted to human purposes such as housing, agriculture, etc. Pandas in particular need bamboo forests, and people have found other uses for that land in China, which is a very crowded, overpopulated country.
Giant pandas defend by basically running away! Since they are shy, they do not have the courage to fight. This makes them have no survival skills at all. It's really pitiful- deplorable!
1. Giant pandas give birth to cubs that are only 3.2 to 4.6 oz, which is as little as 1/1,000 of the weight of their mother. 2. Although bamboo makes up 99% of the diet of a giant panda, they also eat honey, fish, and bananas when available. 3. Pandas also have the second longest tail in the bear family (the sloth bear has the longest).
If we contrast horses with Giant Pandas the examination reveals that Giant Pandas are much better at eating bamboo than are horses. Horses are better at running than Giant Pandas. Horses are better for petting than a Giant Panda because they have been domesticated. Pandas are better than horses for consistency of color and pattern. Horses are better than Pandas because they come in a LOT more colors. Horses are better than Pandas because there are more of them.Pandas are better than horses because they are rare and that makes them unique. Both animals are better in their own way. More specific criteria would make a determination of which was "better" would be helpful.
A vertebrate. Invertebrates, like jelly fish, have no backbone, but pandas do, last time I checked.Pandas have backbones, which mean that they are vertebrates.
Giant pandas have very good eyesight. Most bears have round pupils. The giant pandas pupils are vertical slits like cat's eyes. The Chinese people call the panda "Da Xiong Mao," which means "giant bear cat" in Chinese.
Maybe its because they are endangered, pandas are also the mascot of China which makes most of our products today. hope i could help -the panda master
The panda is not extinct.
If you are referring to their favorite food, it would be bamboo. Bamboo makes up 99% of a giant pandas diet. If you mean activity, pandas don't engage in recreational activities or play, and aren't social. As is the case with most if not all mammals, I'd say a mother panda's favorite thing in the world are her cubs.

Pandas are a mystery of nature. If whales are the answer, then pandas are the question. What is a giant panda a/k/a "panda"?A panda is someone who eats, shoots, and leaves. And occasionally makes you laugh.Aren't pandas inefficient, piebald buffoons who are an evolutionary dead end?Yes. That is why there are fewer than 3000 (fewer than1600?) in the world. Then how are pandas not extinct yet?Pandas are beloved, because they are ridiculously, scientifically cute. They aren't just adorable freaky bears that bark in the bamboo forest. Their entire evolutionary strategy (by intelligent design!) was to sit on their thumbsand wait around until there were humans to love them andbe responsible for them despite all of their inefficiencies and mysteries. So how do pandas live their whole lives?royrod: "You know how sometimes you walk into a room and go... now why did I come in here? That's how [pandas] live their whole lives."Seriously, what do pandas do all day?Pandas spend 16+ hours a day foraging for food, eating, and crapping. Much like CEOs.
erm, do they?
Panda numbers are declining primarily because of loss of habitat and their food source. Pandas feed almost exclusively on bamboo: however, humans have degraded their habitat where the bamboo grows, and the population has gradually shrunk to a fairly small region of China.
