i know one. plywood is made from continuous layers of different types of wood glued together and is sometimes used to make special things such as photo frames. it is also made from thin sheets of wood which are cut and can break easily when you try to bend them. but when they are glued together it makes a thicker wood. i hope i sort of answered your question.

Where does man-made wood come from?

Presumably you're referring to such things as 'particle board' 'chip board' or 'ply wood' - all of those are made by either mixing waste wood with glue and pressing it to form sheets or - in the case of plywood - glueing whole thin sheets at right-angles to each other. As for where they come from - ultimately trees !
