the manual trans fluid runs from the brake fluid i had a 1990 Honda ef hatch an i had to fill the brake fluid an it shifted koo after that.
Brake fluid operates the clutch. Do not put brake fluid into the standard transmission.
Dextron-Mercon
don't try to put trans fluid on clutch. manual tranny uses 40wt oil.
The Honda CRX features a cable type clutch and therefore does not have fluid. The CRX Del Sol however features a hydraulic assembly and does.
under battery on trans if it's a manual trans, there isn't one.
Depends on what CRX you're talking about. If it is a JDM CRX 1993-97, it has a trans top, electrical, that you have to click on the switch on the dashboard and wait for the "robot" to do its manoeuvres, then close the latch on the center of the top, and finally close the latches on the sides of the top.
This depends on the fluid. You might try asking a more specific question.
The CRX goes 0-60 in just about 7 seconds, The Mini with John Cooper works goes just under 4 seconds.
they don't have power steering
If its a 89 Honda CRX si wih manual transmission, use genuine Honda MTF. You can purchase it at any Honda or Acura dealer near you.
10w 30 SF motor oil
the repair manual for 88 91 civic/crx specifies engine oil depending on the operating temperature range, 10w 30 will work, id recomend Honda transmission fluid as i have used both and this one provides a smoother shift.
== == Honda didn't make a CR-V in 1991, so I'll assume it's a typo and you meant a 1991 CRX. In any case, it also depends on whether it's automatic or manual transmission. Regardless of whether it's a CR-V or CRX, here's the guidelines on fluid recommendations: Manual transmission: Honda Manual Transmission Fluid is preferred. Alternate substitutes are 10W30 or 10W40 motor oil. If you have a CRX, it'll take 1.9 quarts of fluid. If a CRV (1997-2002), you'll need 1.8 quarts. Automatic transmission: Honda ATF-Z1 Automatic Transmission Fluid.. If you have a CRX, it'll take 2.5 quarts. If a CRV (1997-2002), it takes 3.0 quarts.
