Spasms like this occur in some people with some regularity (I am one such person) my Doctor as well as a family friend who is a physician told me they are muscle spasms. And they feel and spasm differently than a muscle spasm in more common places because it is a different type of muscle. Skeletal versus Smooth. Still it should be shown to a qualified health practitioner in case there is an underlying cause or misinterpretation of the type of "spasm" you may be experiencing.
