McDonald's burger patties are made from 100% beef. Its like you buy 75% or 80% lean ground beef, put it through a machine which flattens it into the patty shapes. The patties are labeled 10:1 which is the weight (ten patties to a pound) or "reggy" and 4:1 (four patties to a pound) or "1/4 pounder". The beef is then seasoned with pre-mixed seasoning which is 87% salt and 13% pepper. The beef is good, i would like to know what those damned mcnuggets are made of, or the McChicken. Hmmmmm :/
McDonald's, in years past, utilized the "Pink slime" material that has become so controversial lately.
Per many statements to the contrary, McDonald's has publicly stated they no longer use pink slime and have actually not used it for a while now.
Of course this isn't something they'd advertise to the public - that they got rid of the slime - as they knew the publics reaction would most likely not be positive, so this is why it didn't make a huge amount of news when they removed it.
From their statements, their meat is 100% beef. There is a link of an article from this year (2012) in the related links below.
Apparently someone found a chicken head in their chicken nugget once, that's why i never go to Mcdonalds!

Yes they were using horse meat in the burgers and mixing it with the ground beef from the cow Answer 2: If you are referring to the UK/ European horse meat scandal then no, it was Burger King that used horse meat in their burgers. Burger King itself did not mix the horse meat in with the beef, that occurred at the processing facility and Burger King has since stopped receiving meat products from that processor.
No, there are no eyeballs or any other such parts in McDonalds Hamburgers. All meat used in these is rigorously inspected by Federal Inspectors.

that it's made entirely out of crap, yet people still eat it! There was a study where the left out McDonalds french fries and hamburger for 100+ days compared to regular(home cooked) french fries and hamburger. The Mcdonalds meal looked very similar to how it was when it was first bought while the regular meal got moldy. This shows that McDonalds probably has certain chemicals in its food. McDonalds and other huge chains are also known for using every part of the cow in their meat. They use the regular parts of the meat(fat and muscle) but in addition use the hooves and other parts. They put those extra parts through a process of grinding it, mixing it with meat filler, and cleaning it with ammonia. The movie Super Size Me shows how if eaten excessively, McDonalds could damage your liver and do harm to your body. But take note: Anything taken excessively is unhealthy.
