What might be wrong on a 95 Nissan Altima that has just had a new engine put in and will not start it just turns over but will not fire up?

It sounds like a spark problem. Check if there is spark. Suspect the coil. Then inspect the fuel system, may not be getting fuel. Check fuel pump.
