If this is one of those noises you hear when going really slow and maybe turning the wheel or braking all at once, more than likely you have a broken strut, link or ball joint. It is a front-end issue that plagues the gen 1 LaCrosses frame. I would take it to a frame shop that specializes in these things. Buick dealerships often misdiagnose and do not fix these issues.

If it is a front wheel drive sometimes a bad cv joint can cause a popping sound when you are turning.
If it pops when turning it is most likely the CV joints.
