How do you replace low beam headlight on Buick lacrosse?
Asked by Wiki User
The procedure to replace head light assembly on buick lacrosse is as follows:---
The bright light fitting is the same as the dim so take it apart fist to see how the cover screws off/on and the light comes out. Both the cover and the bulb are removed by a standard twist to the counterclockwise and replaced by a twist to the clockwise.
Now to the dim light. You have to release the entire light assembly before you can remove the screw-on cover to reach the light.
On the rear edge of the light unit closest to the engine is a white locking tab. Pull that tab up just to the point where it releases…pull too far and it locks again.
Next, locate the other locking bracket which is a metal bracket in the center-rear of the light assembly. This bracket is held down by a screw. Remove the screw with a 10mm wrench. Lift the bracket just like you did the white bracket.
You should now be able to pull (or pry) the entire light unit forward a little. Depending on the size of your hands this might be enough.
If not, then you need to release the plastic bumper assembly to give you a little more space. This is done by removing two expansion locking pins, one that holds the little plastic strip down between the bright and dim lights and one that is located inside a rubber bumper on the engine side of the light unit.
To remove these locking pins, pull or pry up the little tab in the center of the pin just like you were pulling a nail by the head. That should give you a little more space.
. Note:-- The turn signal is part of the headlight assembly on your 2005 Buick LaCross.
How do you replace 2006 Cobalt rear turn signal bulb?
Asked by Wiki User
Inside the trunk, on either side you will find a velcroed trap door. Pull this open and inside you will see two locking tabs that hold the black plastic mounting for all of the lights inside the rear lens, remove the connector at the bottom by wiggling it back and forth until it disengages. Then remove the mounting by squeezing the protruding tabs towards the cennter, replace the bulb, reseat the mounting and reconnect the bottom electrical connector.

Programming Homelink is very easy. If you have access to the internet, simply visit the general homelink training page and watch the video (http://www.homelink.com/training/video.tml). These instructions are applicable to any Homelink vehicle system. (A simple way to do this without watching the video is to just push the "learn" button on the back of your garage door opener main box and then push and hold--just a few seconds--whichever Homelink button you want it to recognize. Usually your garage door opener main box will beep or flash when it has recognized the signal.) +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Would like to add that for certain models (I have Craftsman) you need to have a programmed remote from which the homelink system can learn. You need to press buttons 1 and 3 on the homelink for about 20 seconds which puts it in the learn mode. Then press the button that needs to be programmed while pressing the button on the handheld remote. The garage door will open/ close due to this. The light will first flash slowly and then rapidly in the homelink system. If it still doesnt work, the next step is to press the learn button in the main unit and then press the same homelink button in the car for about 2 seconds a couple of times. I have also noticed that the handheld remote needs to be placed really close for the system to learn (during the initial learn mode) and you may need to try different angles.
