Why were pens made?

Pens were made due to demands of users for better writing. Pen is of two types in which first is ballpoint pen and second is ink pen. A ballpoint pen is a writing instrument that dispenses ink via a metallic sphere at the pen's tip but its ink cannot refill. Ink pen is refill again and again using ink from ink pot. This ink is manufactured by combining a variety of chemicals, which are then mixed together and heated or cooled in order to facilitate the necessary chemical combinations.

How good are Crystal Damp traps?

If you are reffering to the plastic containers you fill with these crystals for the purpose of drawing moisture out of the air - they work great! I use them in my basement every summer. When the crystals turn to liquid, you just flush it down the toilet and refill.

How long will it take a 40 gallon water heater to heat up?

"One hour for a new water heater" for a NEW one. If its a few years old, Id wait about 2 hours or so. That way it wont get cold while you are in the shower, and it can refill at the same time that it dispenses.

Why does the water temp change in the shower when you flush a toilet?

The water temp in the shower is determined by the mix of hot and cold water that runs thru the showerhead at any given moment. When we wish to raise the water temp- we simply limit the flow of cold water, thereby slightly changing this mix. When we flush the toilet, its water tank immediately (and automatically) start to refill. Refilling obviously takes (cold) water straight from our home plumbing. If our plumbing consists of narrow pipes (or if its partly clotted), the water which is drawn by the toilet refill process runs at the expense of other water consumers - such as the shower. This, in turn, practically limits the amount of cold water thar runs to the showerhead, hence changing its temp.

What might it mean if the capillary refill time measures 10 seconds in all digits?

This certainly means that the blood flow to the tissue from the body is inadequate. In other words there is not enough blood flow being circulated through the body, especially to the extremities (arms, hands, legs, feet). Normal capillary refill time is around 1-2 seconds. Maybe even three, but ten I advise that a doctor/physician is seen immediately (I'm an EMT student @ Los Medanos College) Also, age may have an impact on this, I would assume that the older a person is the longer cap refill time but I may be wrong. Don't take my word for it, just contact a physician. God Bless! :)

Time how long it takes to go from white to normal color. So a 6 second capillary time is one in which this takes 6 seconds Normally it should happen fairly quickly In the medical world anything over 2 seconds is bad

What is the significance of CRT?

CRT can stand for many things, but in relation to human physiology, one of the most common meanings of the abbreviation is Capillary Refill Time. Capillary Refill Time is used by health professionals to help assess if a person is dehydrated and measures how quickly the blood vessels refill with blood. It is performed by pressing on the nail of a finger or toe and timing how long it takes for the colour to return, normal CRT is considered to be less than 2 seconds, any longer and it could be a sign that the patient is dehydrated, however everyone varies so the test is usually used alongside other investigations.

What is the capillary refill test?

When pressure is put upon a nail, it will turn white. Capillary refill is the returning of blood to that nail, usually taking 1-2 seconds. This is used to assess circulation to the extremity in question

Does it take the cappilaries of your finger longer to refill when your hands are cold?

capillary refill is when you push on someone's fingernail. the nailbed should turn white and then turn pink again in 2 seconds once you take pressure off. this is a test to ensure that there is proper profusion in the extremities. when your hands are cold, the capillaries in your fingers and extremities are constricted. this could be for many reasons (eg: shock, cold environment, etc.) since the vessels are constricted it will take longer for them to refill when pressure is applied to the nail bed. capillary refill longer than 2 sec that means there is less than adequate profusion.
