Put the proper size wrench or socket on the pulley of the tensioner.Pull the wrench counter clockwise to release the tension on the belt.
A paperclip (look on youtube how to do it).
With a wrench or socket in one hand and a big pry bar in the other, you must be a multitasker. Lossen the mounting bolts and pry to get tension, tighten while applying steady pressure to the alternator
15 mm wrench Put it on the tension pulley and pull to take tension off belt
put a wrench on the tensioner pully and pull it to release tension on the belt
Apply a wrench to the center bolt on the pully and turn it will adjust the tension.
To adjust the tension on your bicycle pedal for a smooth and efficient riding experience, use a pedal wrench to tighten or loosen the pedal. Start by positioning the wrench on the pedal axle and turning it clockwise to increase tension or counterclockwise to decrease tension. Test the tension by riding the bike and adjusting as needed until it feels comfortable and efficient.
it is super easy so heres the steps 1. straighten out the paper clip(hairpins work better) 2. take one end and bend it upward like this ____/ 3. next insert into the lock leave it there 4.get a tension wrench(or something to turn the lock with 5 insert the tension wrench into the lock below the paper clip 6 apply slight pressure to the tension wrench while moving the paperclip up and down and moving the tumblers... 7youve got it!! another method is just inserting the paperclip and tension wrench then vibrating the paperclip up and down as fast as you can(this works ive tried it) and your on your way! any other questions email me at gaudettemichael3@gmail.com i answer very quickly!!
To release spring tension on a click-type torque wrench, first, turn the adjusting knob or handle counterclockwise until the scale reads zero or the lowest setting. This action decompresses the internal spring mechanism, preventing any residual tension that could lead to inaccurate torque readings. Always ensure to store the wrench in this relaxed position to maintain its calibration and prolong its lifespan.
on a 2.2 you just need a 3/8 drive rachet or 15mm wrench to release tension from tensioner.2.4 liter is about the same but you must remove the motor mount.gm Jim
