3/4" wrench
Put the proper size wrench or socket on the pulley of the tensioner.Pull the wrench counter clockwise to release the tension on the belt.
On a 1993 Mitsubishi Diamante, the tension pull for the serpentine belt is typically located on the belt tensioner pulley. This tensioner is spring-loaded and automatically adjusts to maintain the correct tension on the belt. To release tension for belt replacement, you usually need to use a wrench to rotate the tensioner away from the belt. Always refer to the vehicle's manual for specific instructions and diagrams.
A paperclip (look on youtube how to do it).
15 mm wrench Put it on the tension pulley and pull to take tension off belt
I have found using a socket with a racket wrench to be the easiest way to do it. When the tension is released the belt can be slipped off the tension pulley. The belt can be replaced the same way. Good luck.
put a wrench on the tensioner pully and pull it to release tension on the belt
Apply a wrench to the center bolt on the pully and turn it will adjust the tension.
To remove the belt tensioner on a Ford Windstar V6, first, relieve the tension on the serpentine belt by using a wrench or ratchet to rotate the tensioner pulley counterclockwise. Once the tension is released, slide the belt off the tensioner pulley. Next, unbolt the tensioner from its mounting bracket using the appropriate socket or wrench. Finally, remove the tensioner from the engine bay for replacement or inspection.
