Gila (pronounced hi-la) Monsters are amazing creatures that can do amazing things. One of the most amazing is that Gila Monsters allow a some times fatal poison to seep onto their skin and coat them. This is a defensive technique that is used when a predator grabs the Gila Monster in its mouth. The poison is ingested into the predators mouth.

I hope this helped you out. :)
