I was looking at the 2000 Ford Explorer Owner Guide and it shows :
In the Power Distribution Box ( which is " live " ) located in the engine compartment by the brake fluid reservoir
( mini fuse # 14 is a 30 amp green color fuse for the generator / voltage regulator )
