it makes the substence colder
all i know is that solutes lower its freezing point but i kinda think they dissolve into a liquid.
it heats up
To increase.
Well, when energy is added to a liquid, the liquid moves faster, thus it gets warmer and can turn to gas. So you figure out what the opposite would be, and voila! you have your answer.
Temperature is a measure of kinetic energy. Because liquid nitrogen is very cold, a system's kinetic energy will be collisionally transferred to the added liquid nitrogen. Thus, in general, adding liquid nitrogen will decrease a system's kinetic energy. (There are some exceptions where the system has less kinetic energy than the liquid nitrogen, such as liquid helium.)
it depends on the substance
When enough energy is added to a liquid for it to change to a gas, the liquid has reached its _______________
The liquid is changed in a gas.
gas!
Energy is added when sublimation occurs, because it skips the liquid sates and goes strait from a solid to a gas. And to break particles apart, you must add heat, so energy is gained.
When energy is added, solid will melt into liquid or liquid will change into gas. (When energy is added it gains heat). When energy is removed, the liquid will turn into solid or the gas will turn into liquid. (When energy is removed the heat will lose).

it heats up
It will eventually evaporate into the air.
Then the liquid will get hotter. Then the liquid will get hotter. Then the liquid will get hotter. Then the liquid will get hotter.
it heats up
You could boil some water. The added energy will convert the liquid to a gas. you could burn a cylinder (plastic ofcourse). the added energy weould convert the solid into liquid
