The 1998-2000 Chevy Metro with 1.0L engine has an oil capacity of 3.5 quarts.
Probably 4-5 Add 4 then check
99 Chevy Metro 1.0L motor holds 3.7 quarts. 99 Chevy Metro 1.3L holds 4 quarts. it is recommended when changing the oil to put in 3 quarts first, check oil level on dipstick, then add the difference to bring it up to the full level mark.
If I'm not mistaken you have to get underneath to change it. Should be a cap underneath it.
I have a 1998 Metro with the 1.3l and the Camshaft Position Sensor is located on the bottom of the oil pan.
6 qts. of oil
5w 30 or 10w30
in my '95 Geo Metro LSi hatchback, it's the red O-shaped piece just a few inches to the left of my battery (located on the far right under the hood); the yellow one that's identical in every way, is, i believe, the transmission fluid/oil dipstick. hope this helps!
